MANCHESTER SMALL BUSINESS RESILIENCY GRANT PROGRAM
The City has about 30 applications for the HUD 3-5k grant that was launched on Oct 1st. Between 12 and 14 of these applications are owned by people of color. We found out last week that HUD is requiring businesses to have a DUNS number and SAM registration.
Businesses that applied already do not have to get one, but those applying from this point forward, will have to get a DUNS (Data Universal Numbering System) number and SAM (System for Award Management) Registration, if they do not already. The DUNS is taking 1-3 business days to process and the SAM registration takes about 30 days. HUD is willing to accept the application with a SAM number pending.
